Improving your data privacy practices can’t wait

On June 1, 2020, the California Attorney General submitted the final proposed regulations under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to the California Office of Administrative Law (OAL). The official text will be approved by the OAL and filed with the Secretary of State by mid-September, but will be enforceable as early as July 1, 2020.

These updates to the CCPA will have a material impact on the data privacy practices of most companies. Failure to comply may result in legal or financial penalties and loss of reputation.

Every company has a different set of data management practices, which means that every company falls on a different place on the CCPA-readiness spectrum. How can you ensure that your organization is poised to achieve ongoing compliance — while minimizing disruption of key business functions?

Join SEI, in partnership with OneTrust, on Tuesday, August 11, at 11 a.m. EST for CCPA: 2020 Updates, Impacts, & Guidance, a 1 hour webinar. We’ll discuss updates to the CCPA language, and provide guidance for navigating these changes efficiently and effectively.
